Summer is a great time to brush up on academic skills to get ready for the next school year. As usual, all of our summer programs will be held at our Summerville center at Pinewood Preparatory School at 1114 Orangeburg Road, Summerville. Individual programs, such as tutoring, Reading REWARDS, and Wilson Reading are available in addition to workshops.

Improve Your Child’s Reading With a Specialized One-on-One Program The Wilson Reading Program is phonics-based and designed for students who struggle with decoding and spelling. Available for grades K-12. Flexible scheduling, hourly rates. The Reading REWARDS Program is for students who have basic decoding skills, but struggle with reading longer words. Availabe for grades 4-12. Flexible scheduling, hourly rates.

We will offer activities to improve organization, time management, memory, and test taking skills to help students take their academic performance to a new level. Learn how to approach exams with confidence. Students will learn cognitive and behavioral techniques that help take the anxiety out of taking tests. SAT-Math Workshop A five day workshop for all students interested in reviewing their basic math skills (Algebra and Geometry) as well as the advanced skills needed for the SAT. Students will review test-taking strategies, and complete practice tests to prepare for the Math section of the SAT. $225 Grades 11-12, July 15-19, 1:00-3:00 SAT-Verbal Workshop A five day workshop for all students interested in reviewing their vocabulary, grammar, and logical thinking skills needed for this test.
